AI for Good Scholarship 2025 (open to all countries): Empowering Young Leaders to Drive Positive Change
The Brandtech Group, in partnership with One Young World, is proud to announce the AI for Good Scholarship 2025. This initiative seeks to support the next generation of young leaders working at the intersection of AI and social/environmental sustainability.
AI is rapidly transforming the way we live and work, offering innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. However, as its influence grows, so do the risks. The AI for Good Scholarship aims to empower individuals who are committed to ensuring AI’s responsible, ethical, and impactful use in creating a better world for all.
The Role of AI in Solving Global Challenges
AI has the potential to address numerous issues, from climate change to social inequity. In recent years, AI technologies have been applied to reduce the environmental footprint of industries, identify methane emissions, and improve natural resource management. These innovations are critical to fighting the climate crisis.
AI is also being used to address social challenges, such as providing better healthcare for underserved communities and identifying harmful online content like hate speech.
Despite its promise, AI poses significant environmental and societal risks. From its carbon emissions linked to data centers and hardware manufacturing to its potential misuse in spreading misinformation and causing online harm, the technology must be managed carefully. To ensure AI is a force for good, young leaders are essential in advocating for and developing solutions that address these risks while maximizing its potential to drive positive change.
About the Scholarship
The AI for Good Scholarship, now in its second year, will recognize five outstanding young leaders who are advancing the responsible use of AI. These scholars will be selected based on their contributions to one or more of the following four key action areas:
- Social Impact: Using AI to actively tackle social harm, promote equity, and improve well-being for all.
- Environmental Sustainability: Harnessing AI to address climate change and reduce environmental degradation.
- Combating AI Misuse: Working to mitigate the negative social impacts of AI, such as misinformation or online abuse.
- Reducing Environmental Impact: Minimizing the environmental consequences of AI, including energy consumption and e-waste.
The selected scholars will participate in the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany, from November 3 to 6. They will have the opportunity to present their AI-driven solutions to a global audience and collaborate with other like-minded individuals from around the world. Moreover, scholars will benefit from mentorship and networking opportunities facilitated by The Brandtech Group to amplify their impact and advance their initiatives.
What Scholars Will Receive
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich (November 3-6).
- Hotel accommodation in Munich between November 2-6.
- Round-trip airfare to Munich.
- Catering including breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the event.
- Ground transportation between Summit venues in Munich.
- Access to Pencil AI, the leading generative AI platform, to support creative innovation and AI-driven marketing strategies.
- Additional pre- and post-programming opportunities provided by The Brandtech Group.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AI for Good Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Applicants must be aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2025. Candidates outside this age range will be considered if they can demonstrate significant personal impact, leadership, and initiative.
- Demonstrated Leadership: A proven ability to drive impactful, innovative solutions.
- Commitment to Social Good: A track record of working towards responsible and ethical AI use, with a focus on addressing social and environmental challenges.
- Global Perspective: An understanding of key local and/or global issues that AI can help address.
- Engagement with the AI Community: Willingness to collaborate with other scholarship recipients and engage with The Brandtech Group employees attending the Summit.
Nationals from all countries are welcome to apply, and candidates must be actively contributing to the positive, responsible use of AI in society.

To apply for the AI for Good Scholarship 2025, candidates must submit their applications by May 26, 2025. Applicants should demonstrate their leadership potential, innovative use of AI for social good, and commitment to creating a sustainable and equitable future.
