Each position is tailored to support specific departments while enabling interns to grow their skills and contribute to impactful regional development initiatives.

1. Intern – Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Division: Environmental Sustainability
This internship position supports the Bank’s Disaster Risk Management and Climate Resilience objectives. The intern will play an integral role in project planning and delivery within the Environmental Sustainability Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project preparation, implementation, and ongoing management.
- Conduct research and gather data related to disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation.
- Contribute to analytical work and documentation that enhances CDB’s DRM interventions.
2. Intern: Economics Reports to:Statistician
Working within the Economics Department, this intern will support data collection and analysis related to the economic impacts of gun violence in Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs).
Core Duties:
- Collect and analyse statistical data on productivity losses and life years affected by gun violence.
- Engage with staff in the Economics and Projects Departments to gather supplemental information and explanations.
- Create tabulations, visualizations, and statistical outputs for publications.
- Use modern statistical tools to present insights in clear, digestible formats.
3. Intern – Secretariat
This internship focuses on improving the efficiency of Board and stakeholder communications through enhanced data management and digital systems.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between the Secretariat and stakeholders, including Board members and staff.
- Assist in updating content for the Board portal.
- Support the management and archiving of electronic documents to optimize data retrieval and security.
4. Intern – Human Resources (HR)
This HR internship emphasizes the digital organization of employee records and support of ongoing team initiatives aimed at staff wellbeing and training.
Responsibilities Include:
- Catalog and standardize digital HR files for better accessibility.
- Implement naming conventions and filing structures.
- Support the planning and execution of wellbeing programs and training sessions.
- Contribute to recruitment processes such as scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding documents.
5. Intern – Economic Infrastructure
This position offers exposure to the Bank’s infrastructure development initiatives, with hands-on support for data management and document drafting.
Key Tasks:
- Organize project data using content management and business intelligence tools.
- Conduct research for policy or project development.
- Draft internal and external documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the division as needed.
6. Intern – Internal Audit
This unique opportunity offers practical experience in governance, risk assessment, and internal control procedures in a multilateral development setting.
Learning and Contribution Areas:
- Gain a foundational understanding of the internal audit lifecycle.
- Assist with audit planning, execution, and reporting activities.
- Perform risk assessments and data analyses to identify control weaknesses.
- Support the review of Management Action Plans (MAPs) and analytics.
7. Intern – Integrity, Compliance & Accountability (ICA)
The ICA intern will help bolster transparency and good governance practices within the Bank by supporting compliance, research, and communications functions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct background research and compile ICA-related reports for visibility and awareness.
- Assist in reviewing and updating ICA procedures and records.
- Prepare and present internal training content.
- Support ICA’s preparations for the IAMnet Annual Meeting 2025.
- Explore new technologies to enhance ICA’s operational efficiency.
