Director of Fundraising | Location- Remote, US-based

The Director of Fundraising will play a critical role in strengthening IDinsight’s ability to fight global poverty by building relationships with visionary philanthropists and other key stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to lead fundraising efforts that directly impact the organization’s ability to carry out large-scale research, data collection, and policy advocacy aimed at improving social and economic outcomes around the world.
In this role, the Director will be responsible for overseeing IDinsight’s fundraising strategy, identifying and engaging high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and other potential funders, and securing the resources needed to support the organization’s ambitious mission. The successful candidate will bring experience in fundraising, a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape, and the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with IDinsight’s mission and objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
- Lead grant proposals, donor communications, and reporting to ensure continued financial support for IDinsight’s projects.
- Represent IDinsight in donor meetings, conferences, and events.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment between fundraising efforts and organizational goals.

East and Southern Africa Regional Director | Location- Nairobi or Lusaka
Lead transformative change in one of the most dynamic and diverse regions of the world.
The East and Southern Africa Regional Director will be responsible for leading IDinsight’s work in Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, and South Africa. This senior leadership position calls for an individual who can effectively drive regional strategy, expand the organization’s impact, and collaborate with local stakeholders to create meaningful, evidence-based solutions to some of the region’s most pressing challenges.
In this role, the Regional Director will oversee a team of professionals working on the ground in East and Southern Africa, managing a diverse portfolio of projects focused on social and economic development. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the region’s socio-economic context, and a proven track record of successfully managing teams and delivering large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the regional strategy to ensure the effective delivery of IDinsight’s programs in East and Southern Africa.
- Lead, manage, and mentor teams in Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, and South Africa, ensuring high performance and impact.
- Work closely with local and international partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of IDinsight’s projects.
- Drive the expansion of IDinsight’s regional presence and influence by identifying new opportunities and building strategic partnerships.
- Ensure high-quality implementation of research, data collection, and policy analysis across multiple projects in the region.
The Regional Director will be based in either Nairobi, Kenya, or Lusaka, Zambia, and will have the opportunity to shape the future of IDinsight’s work across East and Southern Africa.
