Fully-Funded 3 Month Industrial Attachment Programme: Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Industrial Attachment Opportunities for May to July 2025 Intake

In alignment with the Government’s Youth Initiative to cultivate a pool of skilled talent for the Kenyan labor market, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is inviting applications from continuing undergraduate students in their 3rd, 4th, and final year of study, as well as diploma students in their final year. These students are encouraged to apply for the Authority’s three-month Industrial Attachment Programme, which runs from May to July 2025.

The primary objective of this program is to provide youth with an opportunity to gain practical experience in their respective fields of study, assisting them in fulfilling part of the requirements for their degree programs.

These attachment opportunities are available across a broad range of departments within the Authority, spanning multiple disciplines, including:

  • Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Statistics
  • Data Analytics, Mathematics
  • Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management
  • Marketing & Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, and Photography
  • Videography, Film Production, Animation
  • ICT, Telecommunications
  • Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, Housekeeping, and Laundry Management
  • Records Management, Records & Archives, Library & Information Science
  • Security & Safety, Security Management, Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Forensics
  • Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Counseling Psychology, Occupational Health, Disaster Management
  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering
  • Land Economics, Property Management, Quantity Surveying
  • Actuarial Science, Transport & Logistics, Fleet Management

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the program:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Be a continuing first-degree student (undergraduate) in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study, or a final-year diploma student from a recognized university or college.
  • Possess a valid introduction letter from their respective university or college.
  • Be available to commit to full-time participation for the three-month duration of the program (May to July 2025).

Important Notes

  • The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, 14th April 2025.
  • Applications must be submitted online following the process outlined in the application guidelines.
  • Applicants can only apply after successfully registering on the e-recruitment portal.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered for selection.
  • The KRA does not extend the duration of the Attachment Program beyond the designated period.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  • The KRA does not charge any fees for the application process.

Stipend and Additional Requirements

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh 7,000, which is subject to applicable statutory deductions. Additionally, candidates who are selected for the program will be required to provide the following documents:

  • Proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance cover.
  • Copies of the KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card, and bank account details.

How to Apply

The application process involves several key steps, outlined below:

  1. Registration Process:
    • Visit the e-recruitment portal at https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and click on the “Register” button to begin the registration process.
    • After completing the registration, an email will be sent to you to confirm your email address and complete the registration.
  2. Login Process:
    • Once registered, log into your account using your username and password at https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login.
    • After logging in successfully, you will be directed to the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page.
  3. Creating or Updating Candidate Profile:
    • On the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page, navigate to the ‘Candidate Profile’ tab.
    • Click on ‘My Profile’ to create or update your profile.
    • Follow the prompts to complete your profile. Ensure you click the checkbox on the page to complete this process.
  4. Application Process:
    • To view open job postings, click the ‘Employment Opportunities’ tab on the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page.
    • Under the ‘Job Search’ section, click the ‘Start’ button to view all available vacancies.
    • Select the relevant job posting to view its details.
    • To apply, click the ‘Apply’ button at the top of the page and follow the instructions to complete and submit your application.
    • Ensure that all mandatory fields are completed before submitting your application. After reviewing and accepting the ‘Data Privacy Statement,’ click the ‘Send Application Now’ button.
  5. Troubleshooting:
