Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) Summer Internship Programme: Apply before 14 April.
The Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) has a small number of vacancies for Summer Internships from May to October open to economics graduates and postgraduates, to work on projects from its seven broad programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of research in practice and can lead to longer occasional research assistantships with the Centre. Those who participated in the internship system last year found it very valuable and did excellent work for the Centre too.
We need interns with a strong applied background, excellent quantitative skills, who are skilled in STAT and ideally have some knowledge of handling large economic datasets; and experience of impact evaluation, particularly evaluating and running RCTs would also be useful. However, it should be noted that one or two internships would require less technical skills.
What’s offered
Hours will be flexible but will average 10-25 a week. Pay will be from £21.07 an hour including holiday pay. Each intern will be allocated to a particular project and research supervisor.
Please note: Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor internship candidates for a visa, so you must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
