Nominations Now Open for the 21st International Children’s Peace Prize! (€50.000 award, open to children and young people worldwide)

The search is on for the next young leader who is fighting for children’s rights and making a lasting impact! This year marks the 21st edition of the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize, a global award presented annually to a courageous young changemaker who is advocating for the rights of children around the world.
Founded by KidsRights during the 2005 World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome, the prize has been awarded to some of the world’s most influential young leaders, including notable figures like Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg. These remarkable young individuals have used their voices and actions to bring about positive change, showing the incredible power of youth in transforming society.
Last year, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the International Children’s Peace Prize with a spectacular ceremony that brought together past laureates. One of the highlights of the celebration was the 2024 winner, Nila Ibrahimi, who received the prize for her unwavering commitment to girls’ education in Afghanistan. Through her global singing movement and the protest song “Go to School”, Nila made a bold stand against the ban on girls singing in schools. Her message reached over 3.8 billion people worldwide, with coverage from major news outlets like BBC and CNN. This powerful moment demonstrated how the prize can amplify the voices of young changemakers and create meaningful change.
