Are you a student passionate about technology and public policy? The Summer 2025 Google Policy Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work with public interest organizations in Washington, D.C., tackling critical issues at the intersection of internet, technology, and policy.

Important: The application will not be saved or submitted until you click “Submit” on the final confirmation page. We recommend preparing all materials in advance before submission. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 4, 2025, at 12 PM ET.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in or accepted into an accredited institution, including colleges, universities, master’s programs, PhD programs, and undergraduate programs.
- Be eligible and authorized to work in the country of their fellowship placement (Google does not assist with work authorization).
- Be at least 18 years old by January 1, 2025.
- Have not previously participated as a Google Policy Fellow.
Fellowship Details
Fellows will be placed at leading public interest organizations in Washington, D.C., working on cutting-edge technology policy issues.
- Full-time Fellows (40 hours/week): $12,000 stipend
- Part-time Fellows (20 hours/week): $6,000 stipend
The Summer 2025 Fellowship runs from June to August 2025. Host organizations will determine if fellows must work in-person or remotely.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for students who:
- Have a demonstrated interest in internet and technology policy.
- Possess excellent analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
- Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Application Review & Selection
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by host organizations. Some organizations may fill positions before the deadline, so early applications are encouraged.
Additional Information
- References are required for application submission, but no letters of recommendation are needed.
- Fellows may apply to up to two host organizations.
- No confirmation email is sent upon application submission; host organizations will reach out directly to candidates.
