Remote Opportunity for Researchers: Lead the Global Systematic Review on Child Protection and Violence Prevention

Are you a researcher or part of a research team specializing in public health, epidemiology, or social sciences? If so, an exciting opportunity awaits you to contribute to global efforts in the field of child protection and violence prevention.
The Safe Futures Hub, a collaborative initiative by the SVRI (Sexual Violence Research Initiative), Together for Girls, and the WeProtect Global Alliance, is seeking a full-time team of consultants to lead the Global Systematic Review process. This is a unique opportunity for experienced researchers to play a pivotal role in advancing knowledge and strategies around preventing violence and protecting children.
About the Role
The Safe Futures Hub is aiming to gather and synthesize the best available evidence on child protection and violence prevention. The selected team of consultants will be responsible for leading the Global Systematic Review, ensuring a thorough, rigorous process that integrates both existing knowledge and innovative research methods. This review will play a crucial role in shaping future global policies and interventions, contributing to a safer environment for children across the world.
What Are We Looking For?
To successfully undertake this important work, the Safe Futures Hub is seeking researchers who meet the following criteria:
- Extensive Experience in Leading Systematic Reviews: Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in leading systematic reviews, particularly in the realms of child protection, violence prevention, or related social sciences fields. Experience in developing methodologies and analyzing large sets of data will be essential.
- Expertise in Ethical Considerations: Ethical standards in research are critical, especially when dealing with sensitive topics like child protection and violence prevention. Candidates should have substantial knowledge of ethical considerations in conducting systematic reviews and a strong commitment to upholding these standards throughout the review process.
- Proficiency in LSRs and AI-Assisted Review Methodologies: While not mandatory, applicants with experience in Living Systematic Reviews (LSRs) and the use of software or AI-assisted review methodologies are highly preferred. These innovative tools enhance the efficiency and accuracy of systematic reviews, allowing for more timely and relevant findings.
- Multilingual Fluency: This project requires proficiency in English, Spanish, and French, as the systematic review will encompass literature from various regions and must be accessible to a global audience. Fluency in all three languages will be an asset in conducting the review and communicating findings effectively.
What’s in It for You?
- Global Impact: By participating in this review, you’ll directly contribute to shaping global strategies in child protection and violence prevention. Your work will inform key stakeholders and policymakers around the world.
- Remote Work: This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to collaborate with a diverse, international team of researchers and experts from the comfort of your own location.
- Collaborative Environment: As part of this joint initiative, you will work alongside respected organizations like SVRI, Together for Girls, and WeProtect Global Alliance, gaining valuable exposure to some of the leading experts in the field.
