Required Documents

- Up to Three Publications – Provide up to three academic publications (PDFs), either in German or English, that represent your most significant research.

Scholarship Duration
The scholarship allows recipients to conduct research at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security, and Law for a period ranging from two to six months. Scholarship Amount
The Barbara Huber Scholarship offers a monthly stipend based on the applicant’s academic standing:
- EUR 1,365.00 per month for doctoral candidates
- EUR 2,500.00 per month for postdoctoral researchers
- EUR 3,000.00 per month for professors and experienced researchers
In addition to the monthly stipend, scholarship recipients may be eligible for additional funding to support academic events or further research activities in Germany or other European countries, helping to broaden their academic reach.
Health Insurance Requirement
All scholarship holders must have valid health insurance during their stay at the Max Planck Institute. Applicants must ensure that they have adequate health insurance and provide proof of this before the scholarship is granted.
Application Deadline
