Overview
The University of Chicago is seeking a Communications Specialist, Global Initiatives to join the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth. The successful candidate will build and lead communications strategies and carry out the daily execution of those strategies for the Institute’s various programs, labs, and initiatives with a strong global footprint.
Responsibilities & Experience
- Responsibilities include leading media relations efforts, maintaining digital communications, managing campaign launches, developing promotional materials, coordinating events and webinars, and building stakeholder engagement strategies.
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a communications role.
- Experience working with reporters in countries outside of the United States and Europe, developing grassroots communications strategies, and managing websites, email marketing, and social media accounts is preferred.
