The Presidential Precinct, in partnership with Axxess, is excited to announce the 2025 Corporate Leaders Program. This prestigious program will take place from April 26 – May 4, 2025, and is designed to empower 12 business leaders from African and Diasporan communities. These leaders will refine their business acumen, enhance their leadership skills, and strengthen their business models for international trade and investment.
The program provides an invaluable opportunity for participants to engage with successful entrepreneurs, international trade experts, and community leaders. Through curated networking events, including a welcome event, participants will share their knowledge and business experiences, while also learning from others. The core of the program is a custom-built master class in business and executive leadership presented by the renowned Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
As part of the program, Corporate Leaders will also attend the Corporate Council on Africa’s U.S-Africa Business Summit. This summit is a key event for networking, bringing together over 1,500 executives from the U.S. and Africa, including Heads of State, international investors, government officials, and other multilateral stakeholders. It is an excellent platform to build vital business partnerships and connect with decision-makers shaping the future of U.S.-Africa trade relations.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Presidential Precinct will select 12 CEOs of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the 2025 Corporate Leaders Program. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Business Experience: Oversee an enterprise in operation for at least 2 years, with 50-200 employees.
- Financial Requirements: The company must be investing $15-20 million USD in bilateral trade or investment in African countries and generate at least $1.5 million USD in annual revenue in 2024.
- Language Proficiency: International applicants must be proficient in English and possess a valid visa to travel to the United States.
- Public Service Commitment: Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to public or community service, volunteerism, or mentoring. They should also show a passion for addressing pressing local and global challenges through their businesses and leadership.

- Masterclass in Business and Leadership: Led by the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, this tailored program will enhance participants’ skills in executive leadership, business strategy, and international trade.
