2025 Student Mini-Grants from the Wayfinder Society : Funding for Your Projects and Education!
Are you a student working on projects or educational initiatives aimed at tackling the plastic crisis? The Wayfinder Society is offering mini-grants to support your efforts! These grants are designed to help fund education, community projects, internships, networking events, or any initiative related to addressing plastic pollution.
What’s a Mini-Grant?
Mini-grants range from $300 – $2000 and are intended to support your work on environmental issues related to plastic. If selected as a grantee, you’ll be required to report on your accomplishments by the end of the grant period. The grant is non-repayable, so it’s yours to keep!
In 2025, the Wayfinder Society will award a total of $15,000 USD through this program to help students drive change in their communities and beyond.
Application Process
To apply for a mini-grant, follow these steps:
- Create an Account: Start by creating a Wayfinder Society individual or student account (if you don’t have one already).
- Complete 2 Required Actions:
- Watch The Story of Plastic documentary film.
- Complete the The Story of Plastic – System Mapping activity.
- Submit Your Application: Make sure to apply before 5:00 pm PT on April 15, 2025.

- Application Deadline: April 15, 2025 (5:00 pm PT)
- Winners Announced: May 1, 2025
- Potential Interviews: Recipients may be contacted for one-on-one phone or video interviews with judges.
