African Women in Media (AWiM) is Hiring a Training & Content Development Consultant: Apply!! (3 Positions Available)

At African Women in Media (AWiM), we are committed to empowering women and advocating for their rights across the globe. As part of our ongoing work to combat gender-based violence, we are excited to announce that we are looking for three experienced consultants to join our team and help us develop and deliver impactful courses on reporting violence against women and girls (VAWG).
If you have more than 5 years of experience in this critical field, expertise in women’s rights, and a deep passion for training and empowering others, we want to hear from you! This is an opportunity to work with a team dedicated to creating lasting change in the fight against gender-based violence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a VAWG Training Consultant, you will have a vital role in shaping and delivering education on gender-based violence and how the media can play a key role in addressing these issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing interactive and engaging training modules: You will create comprehensive, learner-centered training materials that will educate individuals and organizations on reporting VAWG sensitively and effectively.
- Hosting weekly webinars: You will lead live, interactive webinars for participants, fostering meaningful discussions and sharing insights on VAWG reporting practices.
- Designing impact evaluation tools: You will design tools to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs, ensuring that our courses achieve tangible results in improving the reporting and understanding of VAWG.
Desired Profile:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Expertise in VAWG: You should have a strong background in gender-based violence, its reporting, and the associated legal, social, and cultural frameworks. Experience in advocacy or media-related work in this field is highly desirable.
- Training and content creation skills: Proven ability to develop and deliver educational content, with a focus on interactive learning and engagement. Experience designing online learning materials and conducting training sessions is a must.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English: The ability to communicate effectively in both French and English, both in writing and speaking, is essential for working with diverse audiences across regions.
- Passion for women’s rights and social change: A genuine commitment to advancing women’s rights, particularly in areas of sexual and gender-based violence, and a drive to create meaningful change through education and capacity building.
