Anglo American South Africa Partners with Eduten for AI-Powered Mathematics Programme: Recruiting Mathematics Technology Facilitators
Anglo American South Africa, in collaboration with Eduten, is excited to announce the opening of positions for Mathematics Technology Facilitators as part of the ‘Eduten – AI’ Programme. This initiative aims to enhance mathematics learning through the integration of cutting-edge technology and AI tools in schools within the communities around Anglo American’s operations. We are looking for passionate, skilled individuals to fill these roles in the following five locations:
Available Positions:
- Platinum – Rustenburg Processing: Bojanala District (x2)
- Platinum – Mototolo Complex: Sekhukhune District (x2)
- Platinum – Mogalakwena: Mogalakwena District (x1)
- Kumba – Sishen: John Taolo Gaetsewe District (x2)
- De Beers – Musina, Blouberg: Capricorn and Vhembe District (x2)
These positions are part-time and will be based in schools close to Anglo American’s mining operations in Northern Cape, North West, and Limpopo.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will play an essential role in helping students understand and excel in mathematics by leveraging technology. As part of the Eduten – AI programme, the facilitators will use AI-driven tools and platforms to assist students in their mathematics education. Key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the use of technology to teach mathematics concepts in the classroom.
- Supporting students with interactive digital resources to improve their understanding of mathematics.
- Monitoring students’ progress through data-driven tools to ensure tailored support.
- Encouraging students to engage with digital resources and to build a love for learning through technology.
- Collaborating with educators to integrate AI and digital tools into regular teaching methodologies.
Who Are We Looking For?
Anglo American and Eduten are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who are passionate about mathematics education and integrating technology into the classroom. Ideal candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Strong Mathematics Knowledge: A deep understanding of mathematics concepts is essential, and excellent Matric results in Mathematics are a prerequisite.
- Teaching or Tutoring Experience: Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with students will be highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in IT: A solid grasp of information technology and digital platforms is required, especially those used in educational settings.
- Digital Resource Familiarity: Experience with educational digital resources or tools that support teaching and learning is desirable.
- Passionate About IT in Education: We are looking for facilitators who are enthusiastic about incorporating IT into the classroom and who have a keen interest in using innovative tools to enhance learning.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effective facilitation and engagement with students and teachers.
- Local Residents: Applicants must be locally based in or near the district to which they are applying.
