Job Description
The Grant Writer/Fundraiser Specialist will play a crucial role in sourcing, writing, and submitting high-quality, compelling grant proposals to various funding agencies. The ideal candidate will have experience in fundraising, program management, and building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure STSI’s continued success. The role will involve researching and analyzing grant opportunities, drafting proposals, and collaborating with the leadership team to develop funding strategies. Additionally, this role will manage donor relations and maintain accurate records for future funding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities from international, federal, state, and private foundations.
- Write and submit funding proposals to secure financial support for STSI’s ongoing programs.
- Develop detailed, accurate proposals and supporting documents as required by funding agencies.
- Organize and coordinate programs that align with STSI’s mission and goals.
- Create budgets and operational plans for the organization’s programs.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Write accurate reports based on stakeholders’ expectations and project goals.
- Maintain donor relationships and databases.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in grants writing, fundraising, and program management.
- Proven experience securing grants from major agencies such as USAID, ECHO, UNICEF, and similar foundations.
- Strong financial background and experience managing program budgets.
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research processes (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive data.
- A personal laptop is required for the role.
