The Themis Mobility Program by the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) offers mobility grants for researchers facing obstacles to academic freedom in their home countries. Application Contents:
- Research Project (10,000–20,000 characters):
This should include:- Problematic and objectives of the research project
- Bibliography
- Program of stay (including places and institutions to visit, possible contacts)
- Appendices:
- CV (max. 2 pages)
- List of the 5 main publications
- Copy of the thesis diploma
- Letter explaining the political situation hindering the research (strictly confidential)
- Letter of support from a French research center hosting the applicant
Evaluation Criteria:
Projects will be assessed based on:
- The scientific quality and methodology of the research
- The necessity of coming to France and the identified obstacles
- The feasibility of the project during the stay
Results Notification:
Applicants will be informed by July 2025 regarding the outcome of their application.
