Fully Funded DICE MSc Burnett Scholarships 2025/26 in the UK: Apply!

The Burnett Scholarship scheme is for 2025/26 for conservationists from Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia & Zimbabwe. This provides 6 fully funded scholarships on our MSc in Conservation Science.
The Burnett Scholarships scheme was launched in 2024 for applicants from Africa’s KAZA region of southern Africa, to study a masters’ degree within the University’s Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE).
The scholarships are funded through the generosity of the Notsew Orm Sands Foundation and are designed to support early career conservationists working in the countries covered by the KAZA region.
Scholarship value
Fully funded scholarships on the taught Master’s course in Conservation Science including a UKRI stipend (the rate for 2024/25 is £19,237. Rates for 2025/26 will be announced later in 2025), tuition fees at the Overseas rate, and travel to and from the UK.

Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be nationals of, or have official refugee status in, Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
- Have at least two years of work experience in the conservation sector.
- Be in possession of a good undergraduate degree, with a minimum of a UK 2:1 or equivalent.
- Meet the UK Visas and Immigration specifications and University of Kent English language requirements.
