Opportunity for Talented Students from Africa to Pursue a Master’s Degree: Apply for the Fully-funded Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) at Wageningen University 2025

The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) provides exceptional and motivated students from Africa with the unique chance to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University, while also supporting capacity building across the African continent.

- 1 February 2025: Deadline for MSc programme applications
Start of MSc Programme:
- 1 September 2025
Components of the Scholarship:
- Travel costs to and from The Netherlands
- Living allowance for the entire duration of the programme (24 months)
- Tuition fee coverage for the entire programme (24 months)
- Visa costs and health insurance costs coverage
Requirements:
- African Citizenship: You must be a citizen of an African country.
- Admission to an MSc Programme: You must have applied for one of the Master’s programmes at Wageningen University & Research before the deadline. Please see How to apply for the master’s programme.
- Unconditional Admission: You must be unconditionally admitted to the MSc programme.
- Academic Excellence: You must have a First Class Honours degree with a GPA of 80% or higher in your bachelor’s degree.
- Preference for First-Time Master’s Degree Seekers: Preference will be given to students who have not yet obtained a master’s degree.
Only candidates who meet all the above criteria will be invited to participate in the selection procedure.

Selection Procedure:
The selection process is by invitation only, and you cannot apply directly for the scholarship. The procedure involves multiple steps:
Step-by-Step Selection Procedure:
- Step 1: Apply for an MSc programme before 1 February 2025.
- Step 2: Selection Procedure – Candidates are selected for the next stage based on their application.
- Step 3: Outcome of the selection process communicated to the candidates.
- Step 4: Any updates or changes to the process.
Important Dates at a Glance:
- 1 February 2025: Deadline to apply for an MSc programme
- 13 March 2025: Invitations sent to selected candidates for further selection (approx. 40 candidates)
- 25 March 2025: Deadline for assignment submission
- 8 April 2025: Decision on invitation for online interviews (approx. 20 candidates will be interviewed)
- 22 April – 1 May 2025: MS Teams interviews conducted
- 8 May 2025: Final results of the selection process communicated
