About Diaspora Africa
Diaspora Africa is an independent media organisation using research and digital technology to highlight migration in the context of Africa and its intersection with gender, education, climate change, refugee politics, and LGBTQ+ rights. Through grassroots data collection, solutions journalism, and evidence-based research, we document the nuances and dynamics of migration and remodeling migration reporting across Africa. Our goal is to contribute to the push for migrant justice globally.
Diaspora Africa operates under 3 pillars:
- The storytelling project
- The Migration Media Hub
- The Migration Monitor
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Managing Editor & the Research Associate. The candidate will support the organization’s internal & external communications by:
- Managing the organization’s social media channels
- Updating the organization’s communications strategies
- Creating digital content and campaigns for the organization
Location
This is a remote role. Applicants should be based in any country in Africa.
Requirements
A proven experience and interest in migration issues and communications for development.
