UNICEF works in the world’s toughest places to help children survive, thrive, and reach their full potential. To support our mission, we are looking for two Innovative Finance Interns to join our expanding Innovative Finance Hub in Helsinki. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Global Innovative Finance for Children (IF4C) strategy, which aims to accelerate progress towards the SDGs by catalyzing capital for children.
About the Role
As an intern in the Innovative Financing Pathway, you will engage in impactful projects related to child-lens investing, which positions children in investors’ agendas. This internship follows a learning-by-doing model, where you will gain exposure to sustainable finance practices and child rights integration in investment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on sustainable finance, child-lens investing, and ESG practices.
- Assist in creating briefing notes and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Support communications efforts, including social media outreach and coordination with key partners.
- Provide general assistance on various projects within the Innovative Finance team.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s or undergraduate program in Finance, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience or a strong interest in sustainable finance, impact investing, or ESG is an asset.
- Excellent research, communication, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
