Summary of Services
As an Individual Consultant (IC), you will play a pivotal role in modernizing and improving the UN Secretariat’s talent management process. This includes:
- Developing future-ready job profiles that align with organizational needs.
- Ensuring inclusivity and diversity through bias-free and inclusive job responsibilities.
- Enhancing recruitment effectiveness by identifying Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) that support accurate and equitable candidate assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct job analysis using OHR’s methodology in collaboration with HR teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Develop and update Generic Job Profiles (GJPs) for designated areas of expertise.
- Document and maintain processes for creating and managing GJPs.
- Address inquiries regarding the newly developed job profiles.
- Identify emerging transferable KSAs and cross-functional responsibilities across roles.
- Provide regular progress updates to project managers and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
- A bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant work experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in organizational/industrial psychology, human resources management, or related fields.
- Proficiency in job analysis and project management is mandatory.
- Experience in creating bias-free job descriptions and applying job analysis methodologies is desirable.
- Languages:
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.
