About the Coalition
The Coalition for Human Rights in Development is a global coalition of social movements, civil
society organizations, and grassroots groups working together to ensure that development is
community-led and respects, protects, and fulfills human rights. We work with members and
partners to ensure communities have information, power and resources to determine their own
development, and to hold development finance institutions, governments, and other actors
accountable to peoples and the planet.
This opportunity is open to journalists, analysts, researchers, or monitoring professionals skilled in:
- Conducting empathetic individual and group discussions.
- Analyzing data to identify trends and systematize lessons learned.
- Using storytelling to present findings and collaborate with Communications teams to amplify the research.
The role initially focuses on community-led perspectives and struggles in Africa’s Just Energy Transition, with comparative analysis from Latin America and Asia.
Role Details:
- Location: Remote, Africa-based.
- Status: Contractor (full-time or part-time options available).
- Compensation: USD $3,100–$3,720/month (gross, full-time basis). Includes paid time off and reimbursement for work-related costs.
