
Special encouragement to refugees from SADC & ECOWAS regions
The Pan African University (PAU) has announced a special call for applications from refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Western and Southern Africa. This initiative aims to provide postgraduate education opportunities to displaced individuals, promoting capacity building and social development in Africa.
Eligibility and Admission Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be a registered refugee or IDP
- Be under 30 years old (male) or 35 years old (female)
- Hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized university
- Meet specific academic requirements for their chosen program
Available Programs
The PAU offers various master’s programs across its four institutes:
- PAUSTI (Kenya): Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, and more
- PAULESI (Nigeria): Geosciences, Health Sciences, Plant Breeding, and more
- PAUGHSS (Cameroon): Governance and Regional Integration, Conference Interpreting, Translation, and more
- PAUWES (Algeria): Water and Energy Sciences, Climate Change, and more
Application Procedure
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the PAU website. The application period runs from December 23, 2024, to January 22, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
