The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), in partnership with Wellcome, invites applications for the East Africa cohort of the Afrique Research Support Hub (ARSH) Program.
About the ARSH Program
The ARSH Program aims to:
- Strengthen the capacity of post-PhD African researchers in grantsmanship and research fundraising.
- Establish regional research support hubs with three satellite stations:
- West and Central Africa (bilingual: French & English).
- Southern Africa.
- Eastern Africa.
Eligibility
Post-PhD early and mid-career researchers from East African countries are encouraged to apply. Eligible countries include:
- Burundi
- Comoros
- Djibouti
- Eritrea
- Ethiopia
- Kenya
- Madagascar
- Mauritius
- Rwanda
- Seychelles
- Somalia
- South Sudan
- Sudan
- Tanzania
- Uganda
Program Details
Selected participants will:
- Engage in a 12-month capacity-strengthening and mentorship program through a hybrid model combining online and in-person training.
- Compete for a seed grant, which is available for a limited number of participants to enhance their fundraising and research capabilities.
Note: Selection for the program does not guarantee seed-grant funding.
