The World Food Forum (WFF) invites you to apply for its Youth Policy Board (YPB) 2025–2026 cohort. This is your chance to shape the future of youth engagement in food and agriculture while contributing to global policy and advocacy.

As a YPB member, you will:
- Shape Strategic Policies: Lead the development of youth-led policies that drive agrifood systems transformation.

- Amplify Youth Voices Globally: Represent the WFF on global platforms, ensuring tangible impact in agrifood systems governance.
About the Youth Policy Board
The Youth Policy Board serves as the leadership body for the WFF Youth Assembly, facilitating year-round discussions and consultations on key agrifood issues. Established in 2022, the YPB bridges youth-driven insights with global policy frameworks to tackle challenges such as climate change, food insecurity, and social inequality.
YPB members:
- Drive the implementation of the Global Youth Action Plan (GYAP) across FAO regions.
- Lead consultations on thematic topics, drafting recommendations and advocacy strategies.
- Engage with intergovernmental processes to ensure youth perspectives are integrated into decision-making.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Be aged 18–35 as of April 30, 2026.
- Have completed high school and be enrolled in or have completed a bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (C1 level; other UN languages are a plus).
- Dedicate approximately 25 hours per month to YPB activities.
- Showcase interest or experience in agrifood systems, policy advocacy, or youth empowerment.
- Commit to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Special consideration will be given to individuals from underrepresented groups, including Indigenous Peoples, women, and marginalized communities.
Selection Process
- Initial Review: Eligibility and experience evaluation by the WFF Secretariat.
- Shortlisting: A committee reviews applications, and shortlisted candidates provide additional materials, including a two-minute video.
- Final Evaluation: The outgoing YPB cohort assesses leadership, expertise, and policy knowledge.
- Interviews: Top candidates meet with the Youth Assembly Secretariat for the final selection.
