Key Responsibilities
1. Economic Research and Analysis (40%)
- Conduct value chain assessments to identify systemic challenges and opportunities.
- Analyze economic trends, trade patterns, and market dynamics.
- Prepare frameworks, reports, and communication materials highlighting economic resilience strategies.
2. Data Collection and Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
- Organize consultations with private sector stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to validate findings and refine recommendations.
- Aggregate and synthesize data to inform decision-making.
3. Reporting and Recommendations (40%)
- Draft and finalize detailed reports, including actionable policy recommendations.
- Align findings with UNDP’s quality standards and objectives.
- Develop strategies to enhance value chain competitiveness and socio-economic inclusivity.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, international relations, law, public administration, or related fields (required).
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in economics or related disciplines (preferred).
Experience:
- Proven experience in economic research, value chain analysis, and trade dynamics.
- Skilled in organizing data and employing qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Skills:
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Culturally sensitive and adaptable to diverse viewpoints.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
