Job Purpose
The MEL Internship is designed to support the Global Programmes Team (GPT) in embedding Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) tools, frameworks, and processes across various programmes. The intern will assist with the implementation and improvement of MEL systems, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management at both the department-wide and programme-specific levels.

About You
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and research skills with a passion for leadership, education, and gender equality. Experience in monitoring and evaluating behavior change, particularly designing and testing monitoring and evaluation plans, and gathering, analyzing, and sharing data is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Department-Level (GPT-wide support):
- MEL Tool Implementation: Assist in rolling out and adapting MEL tools and systems across all programmes.
- Capacity Building: Support in designing and delivering MEL-related training.
- Data Management and Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate data collection and maintain high-quality information management.
Programme-Specific MEL:
- MEL Frameworks: Support the tailoring and review of programme-specific MEL frameworks and tools.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Keep track of regular updates to Global Programmes’ M&E databases, including following up on grants reports and submission schedules.
- Report Preparation: Assist in preparing MEL and donor reports, summarizing key findings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate feedback sessions with stakeholders, such as Member Organisations, girls, leaders, and community members, to incorporate their perspectives into MEL activities.
Learning and Development Opportunities:
- MEL Capacity Development: Support the design of strategies to enhance MEL capacities of Member Organisations implementing grants.
- Volunteer Engagement Plan: Contribute to the development of a framework for recruiting and managing a pool of MEL volunteers across Member Organisations.
- Inclusion and Equity: Assist in drafting a concept note on Inclusion and Leave No One Behind approaches for integration into the Global Programmes.
