Teachers Cannot Wait: Open Call for Proposals to Support Teachers in Crisis Contexts
Overview:
- Objective: ECW’s ( Education Cannot Wait) Acceleration Facility seeks proposals to support teachers in Education in Emergencies and Protracted Crises (EiEPC).
- Goal: Strengthen teacher support systems in both formal and non-formal settings to ensure quality, inclusive  education for children and youth.
Objectives of the Grant:
- Accelerate support for teachers in EiEPC contexts.
- Deliver three interconnected workstreams aimed at strengthening teacher support.
Workstreams:
- Synthesizing Evidence & Best Practices:
- Analyze and synthesize evidence-based promising practices.
- Provide recommendations to inform ECW’s work and other workstreams.
- Advancing Systems Strengthening:
- Support teacher capacities at national or sub-national levels.
- Focus on a subset of MYRP countries.
- Global Report & Advocacy Products:
- Develop and launch a global report on teachers in EiEPC by 2027.
- Create additional advocacy products.
Who Can Apply:
- Eligible Applicants:Â Consortiums or multiple partners.
- One organization must be nominated as the lead.
- Lead partner must have expertise in teacher support in EiEPC.
- Must have capacity to sub-grant to local and national organizations.
- Key Focus:
- Prioritize the real lived experiences of teachers, particularly female teachers.
- Recognize teachers as professionals and amplify their voices across all workstreams.
Proposal Submission Deadline:
- January 24th
