About Women’s Link
Women’s Link is an intersectional feminist, anti-racist, anti-colonial, anti-ableist organization led by the Global South, working with and for the feminist movement in Latin America, the Caribbean, East Africa, and Europe. The organization partners with over 60 national partners and 40 regional and global coalitions. Women’s Link works to break down barriers, challenge oppressive systems, and alter power imbalances by using legal strategies that secure rights for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. Key focus areas include gender and reproductive justice, climate justice, racial justice, and prevention of gender-based violence.
Role Purpose
The Director of Programs and Impact will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of Women’s Link’s programmatic work. This individual will ensure connectivity across geographic and thematic areas within the programs team, foster cross-organizational collaboration on legal advocacy and strategic litigation, and develop new tools and strategies for effective program delivery. Additionally, the role involves leadership in team development, managing cross-regional opportunities, and implementing KPIs for monitoring and evaluation.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement impactful programmatic plans across regions and themes.
- Analyze gaps in current programs and propose improvements and new initiatives.
- Collaborate with external organizations to leverage best practices in legal advocacy and strategic litigation.
- Ensure alignment between programmatic, fundraising, communications, finance, and operations teams.
- Serve as the organization’s representative to external stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent messaging.
Program Management
- Oversee program execution to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regional needs.
- Manage cross-regional communication, teamwork, and program activities, ensuring legal compliance.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including KPIs to measure program performance.
- Facilitate learning sessions to adapt strategies and continuously improve impact.
Team Development and Leadership
- Supervise and support team development, focusing on cohesion and leadership.
- Promote professional development and enhance team capabilities.
Innovation and Technology Integration
- Foster innovation and implement tech-driven, data-driven approaches to enhance program delivery.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in human rights, gender equality, and legal advocacy.
Qualifications and Skills
- 12-15 years of experience in human rights or social sectors, with a focus on women’s rights, gender equality, and strategic litigation.
- Proven expertise in program management, including monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong operational management skills across multiple regions.
- Expertise in technology integration to improve program delivery.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a focus on team collaboration and resource efficiency.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and intersectional feminism.
- Experience working in diverse cultural environments, particularly in Latin America, East Africa, or Europe.
Location and Working Conditions
- This is a global remote position, with candidates expected to work flexible hours, including availability for early mornings (if based in Latin America) or late afternoons (if based in East Africa).
- Travel requirement: Up to 15% per year.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: US$85,000 – US$120,000 per year, based on market conditions and experience.
