APRI – Africa Policy Research Institute is offering a dynamic Communications Intern role to support the development and implementation of communication strategies across multiple platforms. The intern will assist with content creation, social media strategy, media relations, multimedia projects, and event coordination, all aimed at amplifying APRI’s research on key African policy issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and produce content for APRI’s social media, newsletters, and reports.
- Social Media Strategy: Plan and implement communication strategies for social media and partner engagement.
- Media Relations: Assist with press materials and partner outreach.
- Multimedia Projects: Contribute to podcasts, videos, and other digital media projects.
- Event Coordination: Help with event logistics and outreach.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure consistent messaging.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Creative thinking and interest in shaping strategies for diverse audiences.
- Experience with social media management and tools like Canva.
- Passion for African policy and APRI’s mission.
