The South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling & Analysis (SACEMA) has announced its Policy Modelling Fellowships for 2025, aimed at fostering expertise in data-driven health policy modelling in Sub-Saharan Africa. This program, based at Stellenbosch University, is tailored for professionals with quantitative backgrounds and connections to Ministries of Health, focusing on measles and polio vaccination program optimization.
Key Objectives and Activities
The fellowship emphasizes:

- Possess or secure access to sub-national health data through Ministries of Health.
- Demonstrate programming experience, ideally in R, and a familiarity with public health challenges in Africa.
