Rondine is committed to reducing armed conflicts and empowering individuals to creatively transform conflicts in various contexts. Born in a Tuscan hamlet, Rondine offers a unique opportunity to young people from conflict-affected regions to live, learn, and collaborate with their “enemies,” turning conflict into an opportunity for positive change.
What is the World House Program?
The World House is an 18-month educational journey designed to equip young people with the tools to drive change. The program combines formal and non-formal education, hands-on involvement in civic engagement activities, and personal growth through interaction with peers from diverse conflict backgrounds.
Participants will:
- Engage in daily life with others from diverse conflict zones
- Receive high-level training in conflict transformation, emotional intelligence, and communication skills
- Be part of civic engagement and volunteer initiatives
- Participate in formal education and earn a master’s degree from Italian universities in Florence and Siena
The Training Program
The program offers a structured learning path, including language courses, conflict transformation training, and project design skills aimed at generating impactful social change. At the end, you’ll be ready to join Rondine International Peace Lab (R-IPL), the global network of alumni working on peacebuilding and development projects.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking young people who:
- Are aged 21–28
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or will earn it by July 2025
- Have a passion for conflict transformation, communication, human rights, and global sustainability
- Are eager to work in civil society and engage in social innovation and change
Application Process
- November 2024: Opening of the call for participants
- January 12 2025: Deadline for applications
- January – May 2025: Pre-selection phase & interviews
- June 2025: Selection results
- July – September 2025: Inception phase (online) and residential program starting in September 2025
