Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) seeks a Research Analyst to support its SDG Financing and Private Sector Development portfolio. The role focuses on strategic knowledge management, research, content development, partnership building, and project management. The position is part of the Sustainable Finance Hub (SFH), which mobilizes resources to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The selected candidate will contribute to research, advocacy, and multi-stakeholder partnership services for SDG-aligned investments, particularly private sector engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research and Knowledge Generation
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on SDG-aligned investments and financing mechanisms.
- Support knowledge management activities related to private sector development.
2. Administrative and Logistical Support
- Organize events, including securing venues, coordinating invitations, and managing logistics.
- Prepare necessary documents and materials for events (e.g., press kits, logistics notes).
- Support research tasks related to training and workshops.
3. Management and Coordination
- Prepare notes, summaries, and presentations for events and advisory activities.
- Represent the portfolio in meetings and events.
- Assist in developing knowledge products, such as methodologies and reports.

Qualifications
Education:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in economics, international relations, political science, business administration, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Master’s degree holders require no prior experience.
- Bachelor’s degree holders must have at least two years of experience in sustainable investments and financing.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in SDG investments in African countries or with European Union policies.
- Familiarity with research and advocacy related to private sector development in developing contexts.
- Background in international organizations, including UN systems.
Languages: Fluency in English and French, with excellent writing skills in both languages.
