Remote Opportunity! Habitat for Humanity seeks a HS&S Fellowship Program Evaluator: Apply!!
Introduction:
To increase the participation and representation of diverse US citizen professionals in the Humanitarian shelter & Settlements (HS&S) sector, the HS&S Fellowship program provided a pathway for young U.S. professionals to launch their careers in this critical field from 2021-2024. The program was funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA) and executed by Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) with support from InterAction.
Evaluator Profile:
The evaluator will be external to Habitat for Humanity and highly experienced in conducting evaluations. This evaluator will have at least 5-years of experience conducting USAID project evaluations, will be unaffiliated with Habitat for Humanity, USAID/BHA or InterAction and highly committed to transparency throughout the evaluation process.

Logistics:
This work is anticipated to be home-based, desktop work with flexibility in the location (remote- internationally). The Consultant should be prepared to engage in Microsoft TEAMs (or similar technology) with multiple time zones and with different staff within the US.
Consultancy Deliverables:
A preliminary report of findings and recommendations will be made to key stakeholders, including Habitat for Humanity and USAID/BHA. This report will include strengths and weaknesses of the fellowship program; challenges that hindered achievement of the fellowship’s goal, lessons identified, and recommendations for future improvements. Feedback will be provided by key stakeholders.
A Final Report will subsequently be drafted for an additional round of feedback and comments before being finalized.
A final presentation will be made by the Evaluator with key findings and strategy recommendations.
Methods:
This evaluation proposes to utilize a mixed-methods approach with surveys of key stakeholders, interviews conducted, desk research on the career trajectories of former fellows, regular fellows reports, baseline report, etc), and quantitative analysis conducted on application data.
