Apply for the Funded Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) Media Fellowship 2025! Your Chance to Cover the Global Energiewende
The German Government is inviting young journalists from around the world to participate in the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) 2025, taking place on March 18-19, 2025. This annual event has grown into a key global platform for discussions on sustainable energy transformation, bringing together high-level experts from politics, industry, science, and civil society. During the two-day event in Berlin, the participants will address critical issues related to the shift towards a sustainable energy system.
For several years, the Federal Foreign Office, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE e.V.) have partnered to offer the BETD Media Fellowship. This fellowship enables young international journalists to report on the event, engage with leading stakeholders, and connect with fellow journalists from across the globe. It’s a unique opportunity to enhance energy journalism that transcends national borders and strengthens global dialogue on energy transition.
Highlights of the BETD Media Fellowship Program:
Selected fellows will receive the following benefits as part of their participation in the program:
- Travel & Accommodation: Fellowship includes travel to and accommodation in Berlin during BETD.25 and Berlin Energy Week.
- Virtual Pre-Meeting: Participation in a virtual session featuring expert input on the energy transition.
