Al Jazeera Fellowship Program 2025: Call for Applications
The Al Jazeera Media Institute is now accepting applications for the Al Jazeera Fellowship Program 2025, designed to support media professionals and journalism researchers in developing impactful projects and gaining hands-on experience within the Al Jazeera Media Network.
Program Overview
This hybrid two-month fellowship provides a unique opportunity to:
- Research and write a 7,000-word paper in the fields of journalism and media studies.
- Participate in the first phase remotely, where fellows will submit a research plan and introduction to their paper.
- Complete the second phase in Doha, Qatar, at Al Jazeera’s headquarters, where fellows will continue their research and finalize their work.
Focus Areas
Priority will be given to research projects in the following areas:
- Digital Journalism
- Journalism and the Global South
- New Schools in Journalism
- Journalistic Ethics
- Media Institutions and Challenges
Eligibility
- Native Arabic speakers must have a working knowledge of English.
- Non-Arabic speakers must be fluent in English.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted by November 30, 2024.
