The ICP Connect study programmes funded by VLIRUOS offer accredited international education at Flemish universities AND universities of applied sciences. We provide Bachelors, Initial Masters AND Advanced Masters scholarships to applicants from 30 eligible countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America for English-taught programmes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of one of the 30 eligible countries and reside there during application.
- Age Limits:
- Bachelor and initial master candidates must be 19-35 years old by January 1 of the intake year.
- Advanced master candidates must be 45 years or younger.
- Professional Background: Preference for candidates from higher education, government, or civil society. Newly graduated candidates may also apply if they demonstrate strong motivation.
- Previous Scholarships: Applicants should not have previously received a Belgian government scholarship or enrolled in a Belgian higher education institution.

- Professional Experience: Preference for those who can effectively apply new skills in sectors like education, government, or civil society.
- Gender Balance: Aim for equal representation of male and female candidates; women are encouraged to apply.
- Regional Diversity: Inclusion of candidates from various countries and regions.
- Support for Vulnerable Groups: Preference for candidates from vulnerable backgrounds if qualifications are equal.
- Prior Scholarships: Priority for those who haven’t received a scholarship to study in a higher-income country.
Scholarship Coverage:
- Tuition fees
- Travel expenses
- Health insurance
- Living expenses for the full duration of the study programme (12, 24, or 36 months).

- Submit Applications: Apply for both the programme and scholarship through the institution’s site, indicating scholarship interest.
