Call for Applications: Plan International Nigeria Shadow Country Director Mentorship Program for Young Girls
Applications are open for International Day of the Girl Child Commemoration- Girls Take Over Event!
There is a persistent deficiency in the participation of girls and young women in governance and leadership in Nigeria and beyond. However, girls are increasingly leading transformational conversations across the country. Now is the time to forge a future alongside them, with these girls serving as leadership models for a balanced community.
At Plan International Nigeria, we believe in the power and potential of every girl. We are committed to advancing children’s rights and equality for girls, and we are dedicated to creating a just world where girls can learn, lead, decide and thrive.
As part of our #StandWithGirls campaign, we are launching the #GirlsTakeover initiative to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child. This initiative is designed to inspire girls to take on leadership roles, challenge social norms and behaviours, and amplify their voices on issues that affect them.
Join us! We are calling on girls across Nigeria especially Abuja residents to apply for the Shadow Country Director program, where they will take over the offices of policymakers, engage in mentorship opportunities, and develop leadership skills. This is a unique chance to be part of a transgenerational leadership and dialogue model, and to become a role model for other girls.
