Think Like an Investor: Private Sector Call for Proposals

Apply now: Scale up a digital social data-driven innovation

Join the EU’s Data Governance in Africa Initiative ‘Think Like an Investor’ program, designed to support innovative African enterprises. The initiative is looking for data-driven startups and SMEs that generate societal value through scalable Digital Social Innovations (DSIs).

The Data Governance in Africa Initiative aims to promote cross-border data utilization and generate societal value through data-driven DSIs in Africa’s digital space, while informing sector-specific regulations. This involves helping African businesses reach investment readiness through training, mentorship, and networking with investors from Africa and Europe. Additionally, the initiative facilitates partnerships between European and African stakeholders to drive sustainable social and economic development.

The EU is seeking data-driven DSIs with social impact from companies ideally at least two years old from South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia, Kenya, or Senegal. Consortia from other African countries and Europe are also welcome and may include NGOs, academia, and the public sector.
