Purpose
The program aims to promote the participation of young women in science from Egypt. It identifies and rewards talented young female scientists in the fields of Life Sciences and Physical Sciences.

Fellowships
- Post-doctoral Research: Two fellowships of €10,000 each
- PhD Research: One fellowship of €6,000
Usage of Fellowship Amount
The total amount will be used to cover:
- Research expenses
- Travel and accommodation costs for scientific visits, training, specialized courses (minimum two months abroad)
Eligibility Criteria
Postdoctoral Researchers
- PhD obtained in one of the science fields mentioned (2019-2023)
- Egyptian nationality
- Working in a research laboratory, institute, or university in Egypt
- No more than 45 years old by the end of the application period
PhD Students
- Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) and Master’s (M.Sc.) degrees in one of the science fields mentioned
- Full-time student in PhD, registered in the 2nd year of the PhD program or one year before the thesis defense
- Egyptian nationality
- Working in a research laboratory, institute, or university in Egypt
- No more than 35 years old by the end of the application period

Selection Criteria
- Researcher position in an Egyptian university or research institute
- Outstanding academic record (scientific publications, conference presentations, patents)
- Scientific quality and usefulness of the research project
- Innovative approach and expected outcomes
- Ability to communicate and promote sciences to a younger audience and encourage young Egyptian & Arab female scientists
- Career-path of the candidate
Additional Information
- Fellowships are dedicated exclusively to the development of scientific research.
- Fellowships are non-renewable and can be combined with other research grants.
- Applications must include a detailed description of the research project and its methodology.
- If animal experiments are included, they must be described in detail, with justification for their necessity or lack of alternatives.
