Bring Back Green Foundation has just launched the Climate Champions of Young India Fellowship, supported by YuWaah-UNICEF under the National Youth Climate Consortium (NYCC). NYCC is an exciting new platform designed to empower young climate leaders across the nation to boost grassroots youth networks, drive youth-led solutions, and provide support with micro-grants for impactful climate action.
About the Fellowship
We are selecting 30 Climate Champions of Young India, who are grassroots-level climate advocates from diverse backgrounds across the country. Under this fellowship, these leaders will be equipped with resources and training to set up local chapters and mobilize youth in their community while integrating government-youth partnerships.
Eligibility Criteria
The fellowship is eligible for young people between the ages of 18 and 29. You should apply for the fellowship:
- If you are a young changemaker engaged in youth mobilization and driving impact at the grassroots level; or
- If you are leading or are a part of a youth-led organization and seeking support to amplify your efforts; or
- If you are interested in climate action and are eager to unlock opportunities to accelerate your journey in grassroot mobilization
Deadline: 15th July 2024
Benefits
- As a part of the fellowship, selected 30 Champions will:
- get training from climate field experts
- secure grants up to INR 65,000
- kickstart a local NYCC chapter,
- represent youth at national and international platforms
- receive technical resources.
