Form International is a global leader in tropical forest landscape projects. With 30 years of experience, we offer a wide range of technical and financial consultancy services to clients worldwide. We also develop, implement, and manage our own tropical forest landscape restoration projects. Our team of 20 experienced forestry professionals is based in Hattem, The Netherlands. We have a clear mission for 2030: to restore and protect tropical forest landscapes at scale. To satisfy the growing demand for our services, we are expanding our team and are looking for an experienced senior forestry consultant.
About the role
As a senior forestry consultant, you will lead and contribute to various projects spanning forestry investments, forest landscape restoration, sustainable forest management, forest-climate interactions, certification, and agroforestry. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Lead project teams to deliver high-quality services to a diverse clientele, including public, private, and NGO partners worldwide.
- Team Development: Mentor junior team members and collaborate with other senior consultants to build a cohesive and effective team.
- Client Relations: Represent our organization with clients and project partners, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
About our wish-list
We are looking for a seasoned professional with:
- An academic degree in Forestry or a related field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in sustainable forest management in tropical regions.
- Expertise in developing forest projects and conducting environmental and social impact studies.
- Own network of project developers, investors and/or local partners is a plus.
- Good intercultural communication and networking skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Spanish is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for project-related work (trips are usually 1-2 weeks)
