FutureSense Foundation is a small international development charity committed to empowering communities around the world through sustainable development initiatives. We are looking for a passionate results-driven Regional Programmes and Partnerships Director to help deliver our global initiatives.
Position Overview:
This role requires a passionate and results-driven individual to fill the role of Regional Programmes and Partnerships Director. This position is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and strategic planning and delivery of our programmes across Asia and Africa. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of global development issues, and a proven track record in programme management and budget oversight.
Role Responsibilities
- Management Oversight: Lead and support country managers, fostering a positive work environment, promoting accountability, and handling employee relations.
- Capacity Building: Enhance the capabilities of country hubs to improve programme development and delivery.
- Programme Support: Review and approve annual programme delivery plans and Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks with country teams, ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure hubs comply with safety, risk management, legal, and policy requirements, and oversee team training and certification.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategies for regional growth and effectiveness, including new partners, country teams, and project initiatives.
- Financial Management: Oversee regional and country team budgets, manage annual budgets, and ensure cost control.
- People Management: Directly manage country teams, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Business Development: Identify growth opportunities and scale operations to meet regional aspirations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in international or cross-cultural education programmes.
- Strong programme management understanding, including monitoring and evaluation practices.
- Experience working with volunteering participants, preferably in a service-learning setting or with other ethical short-term volunteering.
- Financial acumen and risk management experience.
