About the UN SDG Action Awards

Every year, the UN SDG Action Awards highlight the efforts of global heroes who inspire hope and demonstrate the infinite possibilities of positive change, even in the most challenging environments. As Marina Ponti, Global Director of the UN SDG Action Campaign, eloquently stated at the C7 Summit, “We all have a role in shaping a world that works—where justice and rights prevail for people and planet. Our imagination has great power. What we can imagine, we can create together.”

Award Selection Process

A high-level panel of judges and a technical review team meticulously evaluate over 5,000 applications from 190 countries. They select the most impactful Finalists, who are then considered for the prestigious Awards.
