Call for Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation (IPATC)

The Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation (IPATC) at UJ is inviting applications for postdoctoral fellowships in the following categories:
- Technology/Innovation/4IR/Digital Africa
- Public Health/Well-Being/Livelihoods in Africa
- Africa and Global Governance (G20/BRICS)
- African Cities/Local Government/Spatial Transformation
Fellowship Overview:
The postdoctoral fellowship will be awarded on a competitive basis, taking into account the candidate’s academic achievements, potential as an independent researcher, and alignment with the requirements of the call. Successful candidates will primarily work remotely.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive CV and cover letter with one or more references
- Proposal outlining a research plan
- Academic transcripts
- Age 45 years or younger
- Proven ability to write and publish papers in accredited peer-reviewed journals
Responsibilities:
- Commitment to producing high-quality publications
- Manage a research team
- Contribute to teaching when required
- Contribute to other related research and capacity building projects
