The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is the world’s leading think tank examining geopolitical and geo-economic risk from an international perspective, with a specialist expertise in risks with a national security dimension. The IISS has offices in London, Berlin, Singapore, Manama and Washington DC.
The IISS has individual members and works with a wide range of private and public sector clients, sharing the Institute’s analysis and expertise. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Membership Administrator to join the team and contribute across all aspects of the External Relations team.
Responsibilities
- Be the point of contact for individual membership and basic corporate members.
- Ensure timely responses to enquiries and requests from members and in the provision of services.
- Request membership subscription payments and secure renewals for both individual and basic corporate members.
- Support the team with internal reporting and external promotional material.
- Provide administrative support for member events.
- Update and maintain CRM records, nominee information, and provide CRM support to the External Relations department.
- Provide the Director and Head of External Relations and wider department with administrative support as required, such as arranging meetings and managing expenses.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Exceptional eye for detail.
- Great organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proven interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft.
- Two years’ administrative experience is desirable.
