Young Africa trains young people in Africa to find paid employment or start their own businesses. Through integral vocational training, young people learn a trade, and are empowered with life skills and entrepreneurship training. We have 10 training centres across 5 countries and numerous implementation partners. We have skilled 60,000 youths and empowered 300,000 youths with our programmes. We are headquartered in Zimbabwe with a support office in Amsterdam.

What you will be doing?
- Draw up a resourcing strategy for the YA Confederation’s short-term, medium term and long-term strategy and Ensure implementation of the resourcing strategy (i.e. meeting resourcing targets as set out and agreed upon)
- Tracking and reporting on resourcing targets as set out and agreed upon), tracking and reporting on progress,
- Performing donor intelligence for the YA Federation’s funding requirements,
- Contribute to expanding the organisation’s institutional donor network and explore relevant consortia
- Contribute to expanding the organisation’s private donor network and explore relevant consortia
- Identifying potential funding opportunities from existing and new potential funders
- Track opportunities, including coordinating Go, No Go meetings
- Engaging with partners, and maintaining partner relationships,
- Tracking proposal process and updating pipeline
- Planning the workflow of the grant writing proposal process and proposal writing
- Coordinate Project Design processes
- Create project budgets in collaboration with Finance and Operations Team
- Participate in handover of successful proposals to implementing teams
- Liaise with Communications department to ensure appropriate content is produced for fundraising requirements
- Where aligned, take responsibility for institutional donor relationship management,
- Capacity building the YA affiliates (implementing partners) in resource mobilisation and proposal writing,What we offer
