Work Remotely as a Feminist Storyteller/Writer at CHEVS: Apply!!!

Role: Feminist Storyteller/Writer
Type of contract: Individual contract
Duration of contract: June – August 2024

Background

CHEVS is a youth-led feminist organisation dedicated to advancing social justice for LGBTQI+ and sex worker communities in West Africa. Since our inception 5 years ago, we have worked towards accelerating the inclusion of women, sex workers, and LGTBQI+ persons through a community-led and driven approach, with a focus on advancing SRHR, human rights, economic justice, and gender justice.

As a youth-led feminist organisation, we’ve navigated pivotal moments to amplify our impact. The biggest feat happened in our fifth year: We transitioned from being a national organisation to serving communities across West Africa. This required extensive internal and external restructuring to fully embrace our new path. As we celebrate our journey over the past five years, we seek an exceptional feminist report writer with storytelling skills to weave together our accomplishments, challenges, and aspirations into a compelling narrative.

PURPOSE OF CONSULTANCY

CHEVS seeks the expertise of a consultant with remarkable storytelling abilities to compile, structure, and narrate the organization’s five (5) years journey in a report. The consultant will imbue life and human voices into our wins, struggles, and hopes for the future, making the report a testament to youth leadership and community-centred organizing.
