About the Role

CIVICUS is seeking an experienced Networks Coordinator to lead the coordination and development of CIVICUS Networks, including member networks and communities of practice. The position will facilitate collaboration and engagement within and between network members to support strategic alliances that enhance the networks’ ability to take collective action.

The ideal candidate for the role would be someone with strong experience in network building and engagement, who understands the fundamental importance of partnership and relationship building and has demonstrated long-term commitment to civil society and citizen action. In addition, the role would benefit from excellent organisational and leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record in project coordination and management.

Key Requirements                                                                                 

  • Candidates must have at least five years’ experience working directly with civil society or human rights organisations, ideally with civil society networks.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, coordination and partnership building abilities, both within an organisation and externally. 
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project coordination skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Relevant Diplomas/degrees or equivalent qualifications will be taken into account e.g. development studies, international relations, political science, economics or related field.
  • Fluency in verbal and written communication in English, additional language proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or Arabic.
