Work Remotely as a Strategic Communications Specialist Consultant at Global Philanthropy Project (GPP): Apply Now!!
Consultancy Summary
Global Philanthropy Project, Inc. (GPP) seeks an expert strategic communications specialist to develop general communications and targeted messaging materials for the Global LGBTI Funding Summit. The ideal consultant will have experience communicating with governments, civil society organizations, philanthropy, and LGBTI cultural competency.
About GPP
Global Philanthropy Project (GPP) is a collaboration of funders and philanthropic advisors working to expand global philanthropic support to advance the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) people in the Global South and East.
Established in 2009, GPP’s 23 member organizations include many of the leading global funders and philanthropic advisors for LGBTI rights. As the first international cohort of LGBTI funders, GPP is internationally recognized as the primary thought leader and go-to partner for donor coordination around global LGBTI work.
Summit Overview
The Global LGBTI Funding Summit will take place in November in South Africa. The Summit will allow grantmakers, donor governments, and key thought leaders to develop shared analysis, strategy, and collaboration across multiple interconnected grantmaking issues. The Summit will provide a platform for donor governments and private foundations to make funding announcements towards global LGBTI human rights. Our target funding goal is for the field, not a personal fundraising campaign for GPP.
The Global Funding Summit is timed to feature three major bodies of research: Mapping Current Progressive Grantmaking Trends Responding to the Global “Anti-Gender” Movement (launch April 2024), The Global Resources Report (launch June 2024), and The State of Trans and State of Intersex Organizing (launch September 2024).
The Summit will have the following key audiences for messaging and attendance:
- Donor governments (senior political and bureaucratic representatives)
- Multilateral funders (senior political and bureaucratic representatives)
- Private foundations (senior leadership and LGBTI grantmaking leads)
- Public foundations (senior leadership and LGBTI grantmaking leads)
